Shelters (HUC-3)

Hubbell Equipment Shelters Assembly and Installation Guidelines

1. Remove shelter from pallet. Remove all doors from units with lift off doors. Open doors and install door holders on units with hinged doors.

2. Remove the nuts securing the shelter to the pallet. Remove and save the large flat washers at each hold down position. These washers will be required when bolting the shelter to the pad.

3. Lift the shelter off the pallet by using one of the following methods: • Smaller shelters may be lifted by two or more people. • Slings may be passed through the shelter and joined above for connection to a hoist. On longer shelters, these slings must be separated by a spreader Set the shelter aside until the equipment has been installed on the pad and all service connections made.

ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION

4. Install equipment and make all service connections. Bolt equipment frame (when applicable) to pad.

5. Install shelter. Lift the shelter over the equipment to be protected and lower it over the anchor bolts on the pad.

6. Place the flat washers saved when the shelter was removed from the pallet onto the anchor bolts and secure the enclosure to the pad.

7. Replace or close shelter doors. Installation is now complete.
