Shelters (HUC-3)

Hubbell Equipment Shelters - Hubbell’s Pad-Mounted and Modular Walk-In Shelters are manufactured with Fiberglass-Reinforced Compos- ites that incorporate fire-retardant resins, in combination with chopped fiberglass and woven fiberglass mat, to ensure superior strength and rigidity in our products. Shelters use a female molding process, which results in a smooth and aesthetically-pleasing finish. Benefits include: • DURABILITY - The fiberglass construction results in superior impact resistance, reducing the need for repair or replacement due to denting. The use of a marine-grade UV stabilized gel coat ensures that the fiberglass provides best-in-class protection from natural elements and is able to withstand all types of harsh environments, including transformer oils and chemicals. All hardware is corrosion resistant and through-bolt- ed for a secure fit and long service life. • SECURITY – Impact resistance means intrusion resistance. Shelter integrity is increased by use of special- ly designed doors, openings, and vents. Shelters are available with a double-locking system that incorporates stainless Penta bolts with padlock provision. The non-conductive characteristics of fiberglass reduce accident potential. And Hubbell Shelters are not only fire retardant, but self extinguishing and unable to support com- bustion. • EASY INSTALLATION – The lightweight one-piece design facilitates installation with minimum equip- ment required. Shelters are available with fully removable doors to provide full access for routine service and maintenance of equipment inside.
