F I TT I NGS HAWKE CABLE GLANDS - INTRODUCTION
What is a cable gland?
A Cable Gland provides strain relief and can include a provision for making a connection to the armor, braid, lead or aluminum sheath of the cable. For unarmored and braided cables, this strain relief is provided by the seal only. For armored cables the armor and clamp can also provide pull out resistance. In hazardous areas, cable glands are also used to maintain the protection concept of the equipment or enclosure into which they are being terminated. Hawke and Killark have been in the connector business for over 70 years. With the trust and reputation of Hawke’s quality and engineering, Killark and Hawke have combined design and innovation input to develop the best-in class glands in today’s market. From markets ranging from the harshest environment to light industrial, Killark and Hawke have the gland to meet any application needs.
