★ It is recommended that hoist resistors be selected based on the 1/2 hour motor horsepower rating unless specified otherwise. † For resistors mounted in racks – refer to Class 6715. ■ Duplex controllers require two sets of resistors, one set for each motor. ● Class 162 is recommended for standard crane duty. Class 172 is recommended for severe crane duty. Consult factory for other NEMA Classes. For explanation of NEMA Resistor Classifications – refer to Class 6715 Application Data. ▲ Teaser field resistor limits no load hoisting speed to 250% of motor rated speed. No modification of the controller is required.
